The Largest Country in the World

Russia is one of the most extraordinary countries in the world, with a depth of cultural and historical riches and landscapes that have inspired artists and poets for generations. For so long, Russia was out of bounds under the Soviet system and many people still think of it as difficult and inaccessible. However, nothing could be further from the truth.

A Vibrant and Multi-faceted City

Moscow offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity, a combination of ancient art, luxury and high-tech trends. The brave new world of the nouveau riche is as omnipresent as the proud centuries-old monasteries and stately homes and palaces. The city today offers an excellent infrastructure for all kinds of events: brand new hotels, trendy and authentic restaurants, unique museums and great venues.

St Petersburg

Venice of the North

Founded by Peter the Great – Russia’s first and most famous Emperor – St Petersburg combines its fascinating Russian heritage with a distinctly European outlook (“a window to the West”) and is considered as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Officially proclaimed the “Cultural Capital of Russia”, St. Petersburg is a place where you need weeks to see all its major landmarks.

Baikal lake

The World’s Oldest and Deepest Freshwater Lake

On the Baikal Lake, a whole range of winter activities are on offer to meet all tastes: you can go dog-sledding through the Siberian taiga, or take a snowmobile ride along the famous Circum-Baikal Railway and across the ice. Or you might want to go cross-country skiing, ice fishing, kiting on the ice, tubing, freeride biking or go for a horse-ride through the taiga. For some warmth, visit the thermal springs, where the temperatures remain around 40C.
