If you could choose a famous person to sit next to in a plane, who would that be and what question would you ask?
It would be Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia and climate activist. However I think he would avoid flying out of respect to nature. He made the Earth the only shareholder of his successful family business! I am grateful to be a travel guest of planet earth and experience travel/tourism opportunities. But I also know that the Earth's resources are not infinite. I would ask him how I and our travel industry can learn from other perspectives and create more consciousness related to a positive impact in relation to business in the travel industry.
Who is your favourite travel buddy and why?
Travelling with my family is by far the best thing. It is a lot of fun, there’s a lot of interaction – all opinions count (even from a 2 year old) and there is a lot of flexibility needed. Travelling together is truly a bonding experience for us.
If you were a destination, which destination would you be and why?
Living in Amsterdam is absolutely great. It used to have 4 seasons, great festivals, historic buildings and a very nice and relaxed vibe (if you avoid the city center). I have travelled around the world, but for me Amsterdam was always home sweet home. Since a year, I am sold to Portugal as well. The nature, the climate, the sea, the food and the people are changing my perspectives in a very positive way.
