The best Safari Destination in Africa

Tanzania is a legendary country and a natural wonder. In Tanzania, everything is in abundance; from impressive mountains to vast plains and pristine beaches. You will be amazed by the highlights of Tanzania: the Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti plains, the lakes Manyara, Tanganyika, Victoria, Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa – and the exotic island of spices, Zanzibar.

Ngorongoro Crater

One of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa

Ngorongoro Is a protected area and a World Heritage Site. The area is named after Ngorongoro Crater; a large volcanic caldera, which is the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera. Approximately 25,000 animals live in the crater, including the black rhinoceros, the African buffalo, the hippopotamus, the blue wildebeest and the Grant’s zebra. It is also possible to spot a Cheetah, an East African wild dog, or an African leopard.

Serengeti National Park

The best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world

The grassy plains, savannah acacia lands, wooden hills and mountains of the Serengeti are the backdrop for an extraordinary concentration of animals, which reaches its peak during the wildebeest migration. It is said there are around 2 million of wildebeests in the Serengeti that migrate every year from Masai Mara plains. The Serengeti is one of the world’s remaining natural wildlife refuges: the Park contains an estimated three million large animals.

Zanzibar Island

The Exotic Island of Spices

Known as the Spice Island, the beautiful island of Zanzibar on Africa’s east coast is bursting with culture and history, which is seemingly at odds with its idyllic geography of white-sand beaches with palms swaying in the sea breeze. This combination makes Zanzibar a fabulous place to explore as well as a dream to relax and unwind.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lions on the trees

Lake Manyara National Park is one of the most diverse of Tanzania’s national parks. It is famous for its tree-climbing pythons and lions, which spend most of the day spread out along the branches of Acacia trees. Manyara is a birding paradise, and the forests are one of the best places around to see leopards, lions, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippos and a variety of smaller animals.

Tarangire National Park

The little-known gem

Tarangire is unrivalled in its landscape of open plains, dotted with thousands of baobabs. Tarangire is known for its tree- climbing lions and its big herds of buffalo. It’s one of Africa’s little-known gems and should be on the itinerary of all lovers of wilderness and solitude. The numbers are staggering: 30,000 zebra, 25,000 wildebeest, 5,000 buffalo, 3,000 elephants, 2,500 Masai giraffe and over 1,000 fringe-eared oryx (gemsbok).

Kilimanjaro National Park

The highest mountain in Africa

Kilimanjaro national park includes the whole of Mount Kilimanjaro above the tree line and the surrounding montane forest belt. A variety of animals can be found in the park. Kilimanjaro is very popular for trekking and you can choose routes of various duration – from 1 to 7 days – if you want to climb to the summit of the highest mountain in Africa (5895 meters).
